This update we're passing is a minor update that doesn't affect any game functionality with the exception of two features, one for Server Hosters and one for online battlers.

Better Marking of BOT Players

Now, players are able to know a little bit more which players are bots. In previous versions, bot players were able to be known by their lack of a friend-request button. Now, they have their own tag. The goal of this is to tell apart other humans by more than just the simple lack of a friend request, and we're explicitly telling them "this is a server-sponsored bot to fill in the gaps."

We also spaced out the friend request button a little more.

Controlling a Server from the BWorld Console

The first feature is the very convenient ability to pass in server commands for a server you own from the game client. It's really useful for those with cloud-based servers or servers that run on small form factors without a monitor display. All of the commands that would be passed into the server itself can now be done from the in-game console, such as setting the "Bot AI" setting, tagging members with certain roles, managing Quick Play Rooms and updating server announcements.

To do this, enter the BWorld Console from the main menu and connect to the server of choice with "connect." You can only use the server command "s" after unlocking the server with a passkey that you create from the server AND only for players marked as a developer from the server:

And once you're unlocked, you can pass in all commands (multi-line responses such as getting the room list or list of players don't yet show):
